This song is so great. I love hearing it any time of day. It's so wonderful. I have listened to this song many times, and watched the video. This song is really touching

       

Basically I think this song talks about how you try to leave someone but no matter how hard you try and no matter how much the hurt you, you can't get them off of your mind so you are sitting around thinking about that person, trying to find things to cope and take your mind off of the situation, and in this case she results to drinking whiskey and watching the door hoping that they would come back like they always do, but not this time so you try to not pick up the phone and call but you have lost all control due to your thoughts about that person
